TAAL VOLCANO PHILIPPINES

Taal Volcano is a complex volcano on the island of Luzon in the Philippines. The mountain is composed of an island in Lake Taal, which is located inside the caldera formed by very strong previous eruptions (the process is similar to lake Toba). Taal Volcano is located about 50 km (31 miles) from the capital, Manila.

One of the active volcanoes in the country, Taal Volcano is located between the towns of Talisay and San Nicolas in Batangas. Bodies of water around the volcano crater is actually believed to be the mouth of a volcano or greater. This place is part of the Pacific Ring of Fire, making it very volatile. The volcano has become a well-known tourist spots.
